Red light therapy, measured against the evidence
Home Recovery Hero is a review and guidance site for red light therapy — panels, masks, handhelds, and the claims printed on their boxes.
The problem this site exists to fix: marketing runs ahead of the published research, and spec sheets run ahead of what independent meters measure. We read the studies, do the dose math, and mark every number by how well it's supported.
What's coming here
- Dose math you can check — irradiance, distance, time, with sources cited for each step.
- Spec-sheet skepticism — what a manufacturer [claimed] versus what testers [measured], and why those differ.
- Evidence tiers by use case — supported, promising, or unproven, including the cases where the honest answer is "don't buy anything."
The first guides are through final review and will publish here shortly.
We cite published research on every claim and mark how much confidence each number deserves. Where evidence is thin, we say so.
